Antioch: Male hospitalized after shooting

ANTIOCH — A male was hospitalized in critical condition after a shooting Thursday outside a fast-food restaurant, authorities said.

According to a police statement, officers responded shortly after 5:35 p.m. to calls reporting a gunshot victim had entered McDonald’s, at 4440 Lone Tree Way.

When officers arrived, they found a male suffering from a gunshot wound and provided medical care until he was taken to a hospital, where he was later listed in critical condition.

Investigators said they learned that a shooting happened in the parking lot outside the Mcdonald’s, with the victim managing to run inside before collapsing, and a suspect fleeing in an unknown direction afterward.
