Discovery of gruesome corpse lands a traditional healer in jail

Police in the Free State have detained four persons, including a traditional healer, after the body of a 75-year-old man was discovered at the healer’s home.

The accused, aged 21, 23, and 31, along with the traditional healer, aged 38, are charged with unauthorized firearm possession and murder. Monday, they will appear before the Brandfort magistrate’s court.

According to the authorities, the horrible finding was discovered by a worker who worked near the traditional healer’s residence in Majwemasweu, Free State.

“The body was discovered in a pool of blood. It is likely that a blunt item was used to inflict the head injuries, according to Captain Stephen Thakeng, the Free State police spokesperson.

According to Thakeng, emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene, and they pronounced the individual deceased upon arrival.

“Three suspects and the house’s owner, a traditional healer, were apprehended. A murder case has been registered. A cellphone belonging to the deceased and an unlicensed 22 star pistol were discovered and seized during a search of the residence.
